Blackout Day

Today Panmure Bridge School had there blackout day. This was to celebrate the Lions vs All Blacks game. You could come to school wearing all black to go for the All Blacks or you could wear all red to go for the Lions. The first thing we did was go to assembly to get a lesson from the roots team. The roots team have shown us how they reuse our waste. For example they turn our plastic into dresses and our rubbish into benches and play houses. They have also shown us what they are doing with road barriers. They have taken road barriers that people have tried to throw away into water collectors for your garden. Next we had another assembly after lunch to watch videos of the All Blacks and the Lions. After, we sang Tutira Mai Nga Iwi and the kapa haka boys did the haka. Then the whole school went out onto the field to spell the All Blacks. When we were in position the drone will fly over and show what we spelt. The last thing the whole school did was pass the ball. We would all get into a circle and pass the ball round while we chant All Blacks. The drone recorded us as we chanted All Blacks and passed the ball. From this day I had a lot of fun and learnt new things.
